This Week’s Vegan Winners and Losers (20)

Find out who is making us herbivores smile, and who is making us want-to-dial 999.

This week’s vegan winners and losers – week beginning 17/04/18

Going up…

Candy Kittens

Candy Kittens has removed gelatine from its new range of gourmet sweets, and FOUR of the flavours are vegan and labelled as such! The vegan flavours are: Wild Strawberry, Sour Watermelon, Blueberry Bliss, and Peach Fizz. I’m drooling already. Unfortunately, Eton Mess still contains beeswax so not vegan as of yet. Fingers crossed!

Morrison’s

morrisons

Morrison’s is the latest supermarket to start labelling all of their own-brand vegan products – as vegan! Sainsbury’s and Co Op have, of course, been labelling their vegan products as such for a while now. Tesco, Aldi, and Asda are already well underway in this process, too. Welcome aboard, Morrisons! Waitrose, Lidl, Iceland, and Marks & Spencers: your turn…

Going down…

Asda

Unfortunately, a recipe change for Asda’s jelly beans means that they are no longer vegan.
