Going up…


Amongst the many new vegan products at Sainsbury’s this Veganuary is the Upton Naturals range which looks very interesting indeed. They create faux meats using seitan that look super yummy – I can’t wait to try them out! And don’t forget about the brand new faux-fish range also now available at Sainsbury’s called Sophie’s Kitchen. Some stores will even be stocking Canadian faux meat brand Gardein as well.

And more new treats in the Love Your Veg range, including chorizo style shroomdogs – to go alongside their current cumberland shroomdogs and caramelised onion shroomdogs – and even more importantly… shroomPUPS! Mini shroomdogs! I can’t wait to add these to my beans on toast or to serve them on cute little cocktail skewers. Exciting exciting exciting!

Pizza Hut

Last year, Pizza Hut got with the times by adding vegan cheese to the menu in their sit-in restaurants. Well, now they have launched a few new vegan pizzas to choose from! This includes a margherita, a veggie pizza, and a jackfruit pizza! Well done, Pizza Hut!


Aldi has added even more vegan products to its shelves this Veganuary, including nutritional yeast, tofu, jackfruit, and vegan mayonnaise! What a time to be alive!


Most Fry’s products are half price at Ocado until the 22nd of Jan! Apparently they do this every year, I suppose for Veganuary. Good news… get me some nugs ASAP.


Obviously, I mentioned the new Plant Kitchen range at M&S last week, but some truly beautiful photos have reached the internet since it’s launch. Look at these shelves stuffed full with plant-based goodness! I can’t wait to get to a store and pick up a few products. Has anyone tried anything yet? What are your thoughts?

The General Human Race


Big thumbs up to Gregg’s who released their vegan sausage roll on Thursday the 3rd last week. And my goodness… did the snowflake-gammon hybrids self-implode. The amount of human beings who found the concept of a vegan sausage roll offensive, confusing, and downright infuriating… has left me slightly less hopeful for the future. But, big up Gregg’s for their hilarious and sarcastic replies. Get a grip, huns.
